Abbey Mill Childcare is a family run nursery based in Seedhill Road in Paisley. Working in partnership with Renfrewshire Council we provide full and part-time placements for children aged 0 - 5 years.

As a family run nursery, we understand the importance of finding good quality childcare and with this in mind, we are striving to take some of the worries and concerns out of choosing a nursery by providing a service that is very much child and family-orientated.

Our fabulous team proudly use our knowledge, skills and experiences as childcare professionals (and also some of us as parents too), to provide a service that benefits all those in our care, with Abbey Mill Childcare having provided care, cuddles and laughs to hundreds of children over the past 20 years.

Tiny Tots Playroom

Our Tiny Tots Room is for babies aged 6 weeks to 2 years and is designed to offer a cosy yet stimulating environment for quiet, relaxed play, with more open play spaces available for more physical and messy play.

Each play space provides opportunities to develop and learn through the senses whilst maintaining a calm and caring atmosphere in which our youngest wee ones can feel safe and secure. Our Tiny Tots staff team are skilled and knowledgeable in the care and development of under three's and works closely with our families to ensure each babies home routine is followed to maintain close home/nursery links.

Wee Explorers Playroom

Our Wee Explorers Room for children aged 18 months to approx 3 years and provides a large open area for children to move about with the freedom to explore and experiment in a stimulating environment. Our large indoor sandbox is a firm favourite as is the open block play area which allows the building of amazing constructions using the varied and interesting materials available.

Our calm and cosy area allows for a little rest and relaxation from all the hustle and bustle and is the ideal space in which to grab 40 winks while our snack and meal times allows opportunities for social times and the development of independence skills.

Little Learners Playroom

Our Little Learners Playroom for children aged from 3 years and is a hive of activity and learning. Our open environment continues to support our philosophy of learning through play, providing enhanced resources to build on previously gained knowledge whilst preparing our wee ones for the challenge and adventure of "Big School"!

We know that children learn best when they are active, busy learners, and our open-plan playroom provides opportunities to promote curiosity, inquiry, and creativity. By taking the children's lead we journey through many themes and projects throughout the year... allowing them to take positive risks and to think, challenge, and learn for themselves... while teaching us a thing or two too!
